Pennsylvania family sues over delivery vehicle accident

It is widely known that being involved in an accident with a large vehicle, such as a delivery truck, can cause significant injuries. One family in Pennsylvania has filed a lawsuit claiming that a truck driver caused an accident that inflicted serious injuries on a mother and child.

The accident occurred on Nov. 9, 2012, according to the complaint. On that day, the mother and her 10-year-old daughter were in a vehicle that was stopped at a traffic light. The complaint alleges that the driver of a Tasty Treats delivery truck was driving too fast and had lost control of the truck before it hit the back of a vehicle at the stop light.

The initial collision began a chain reaction of accidents that ended with the rear of the complainants' vehicle. Both the woman and her daughter were injured in the accident.

Per the lawsuit, the mother suffered permanent injuries to her spine and neck. Her daughter also suffered injuries that are likely to affect her later in life. The mother also made claims for damages resulting from loss of income due to costly medical bills and mental anguish. All told, the complainants are seeking damages in excess of $150,000 against the driver and his employer.

This woman and child now have to cope with the lasting effects of this accident. The family has opted to file a lawsuit to seek compensation for damages caused by another party’s actions. Anyone who has been injured such an accident has the right to do the same.
